Are you licensed and insured?

Yes!
Every Registered Massage Therapist in Ontario must be a member of the College of Massage Therapists (CMTO).
This means we have completed in-depth training, a certification exam, yearly renewal, and must carry professional liability insurance.

Can I use my Acupuncture Insurance/ Benefits?

No.
All treatments with Cecilia are considered Massage Therapy treatments, even when incorporating acupuncture as a technique.
This means you can only use your health insurance for Massage Therapy to cover these treatments.

I am Registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).

What is Evidence-Based Practice?

Evidence-Based Practice is a grounding principle in health care that strives to equally incorporate 3 key elements:

 1. The most up to date, high quality research evidence for techniques and interventions.

 2. Individual patient contexts, values, beliefs, goals, and opinions. You are the expert of your own health and wellbeing!

3. Therapist experience, knowledge, context, and intuition.

Who can come for Massage Therapy?

Massage Therapy is for everyone!
I have treated patients of all abilities, backgrounds, and ages (from still in the womb to over 90 years old).

Is the clinic accessible?

Unfortunately the new clinic does not have an accessible entrance, as both entrances require stairs.

Alternate formats for information from this site are also available upon request.

If you have questions about accessibility, feel free to contact me.

Is there parking at 111 Norfolk Street?

Currently the parking lot is reserved for staff members only.
However, there is free street parking (2 hours) near the clinic on both Yarmouth and Norfolk Streets.

Do you provide direct billing?

Unfortunately at this time we do not offer direct billing to insurance companies.

In order to use extended healthcare benefits, you will need to pay the clinic for your treatments and then submit the details from your official receipt to your insurance company to be reimbursed.

What is your refund and dispute policy?

Refunds are not typically available for services that have been provided. However, please contact the clinic directly if you have concerns about your experience or a payment charge, and we will discuss this with you on a case-by-case basis.
